Let´s start with definitions. Eco-tourism is a form of tourism that involves traveling to tranquil and unpolluted natural areas. According to the definition and principles of ecotourism established by The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) in 1990. Ideally, ecotourism should satisfy several criteria, such as:
■ Conservation of biological and cultural diversity through ecological protection.
■ Sharing of socio-economic benefits with local communities.
■ Minimization of tourism's own environmental impact.
■ Affordability and lack of waste.
■ Local culture, flora and fauna being the main attractions
Our RIBs are the ideal vessels to clean the bay from plastics and other debris. We will support Biscayne bay cleaning day once a year.
With the help of volunteers we will collect and properly dispose the garbage, flotsam and what ever pollutes Biscayne Bay.
